A research engineer was scheduled to travel from abroad to provide technical and clinical support during a novel research procedure.

Unfortunately, the research engineer was restricted from travelling the day before the case. The procedure lab time was already booked, and cancelling the case would have delayed patient care delivery, leading to unutilized lab space and physician’s procedure time.

Using TeleVU, the local physician interacted with the remote research engineer using the smart glasses and received the necessary guidance utilizing the AR features. This first-in-man case was successfully completed without any delays.
